My Story

I am swimming the length of Ireland's longest river, the river Shannon, as a fundrasing event in aid of North West STOP.

North West STOP is a community-based, voluntary charity founded in 2004 by families who had lost loved ones to suicide. Their primary aim is to prevent suicide by  providing accessible, free, confidential counselling services. An invaluable service to the North West of Ireland.

Therefore, on Sunday 10 August, I will begin my swim. I will be starting in Dowra Co. Cavan and swimming over 230km over the course of 8 days, averaging roughly 30km per day, until I reach Curraghgour Boat Club in Limerick City on Sunday 17th August.
